Hiwire to sell ads for Clear Channel unit

Published on .

Clear Channel Internet Group, a unit of media company and leading radio broadcaster Clear Channel Communications, tapped Hiwire, a provider of streaming media advertising, to deliver and sell ads for World Class Rock, its flagship Internet-only radio station. Hiwire's ad insertion technology, which enables online radio stations to deliver ads in the midst of a live audio stream instead of only before and after the program, creates a revenue-generating opportunity for Internet radio broadcasters. Worldclassrock.com will use Hiwire's technology to heighten ads' targetability by delivering localized ads to specific audiences.
