RIO DE JANEIRO--Souza Cruz, British American Tobacco's Brazilian company, is airing a new multi-million dollar commercial for its Hollywood cigarettes as part of its "No Limits'' marketing strategy.

On April 18 Brazilians watching any of the country's main TV stations saw a 120-second commercial called "The Flying Lap," created by Duailibi Petit Zaragoza Propaganda, Sao Paulo. The commercial shows an Indy car racing around the planet against different backdrops, such as Alaska or a California desert. The commercial ends when the fantastic car "lands" on a ship like an aircraft.

A team of 125 people under the direction of Paul Giraud took part in the shooting. The team spent 30 days traveling to six different locations. "The Flying Lap" will also be the theme of an outdoor campaign. The spot will run here for six months and Souza Cruz is considering whether to air it in markets outside Brazil.
