Homestore.com acknowledges Justice Department inquiry

Internet real-estate company Homestore.com said it is cooperating with requests from the U.S. Justice Department's antitrust division regarding information about its alliances within the online real estate industry. Homestore.com Chief Financial Officer John Giesecke said the company is providing the Justice Department with information and that the company believes it is operating within antitrust guidelines. The Justice Department said it is conducting an investigation into potentially anti-competitive conduct involving the online realty listings industry.
