HOT SPOT: BMW: COME OUT OF YOUR SHELL

BMW of North America launched its M3 with a simple spot last week on national TV. The ad, by Fallon McElligott, Minneapolis, opens with a turtle on a hamster-wheel. Suddenly, the new BMW sedan zips along and a narrator tells us, "You could drive the M3 four-door, the fastest four-door sedan in America." Introductory spending is estimated at $6 million.
