HOT SPOT: HAGGAR; BURNED BY THEIR OWN CREATIVE

Haggar Clothing Co. has pulled a spot from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, after firefighters' organizations complained about its plot line. In the spot, a man goes into a burning building to "rescue" his favorite pair of pants, a new soft 100% cotton product called the Ultimate Pant. Handling special effects for the spot were technicians who worked on the film "Backdraft."
