HotJobs.com plans new advertising

Published on .

Online recruiting site HotJobs.com completed a $16 million round of financing from investors, in exchange for a minority stake in the start-up. Investors include Generation Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners and Boston Millennia Partners.

HotJobs.com said it would use the money to expand operations, hire more staff and expand marketing efforts. It plans to re-air its first TV commercial, created by McCann-Erickson Worldwide, Troy, Mich., which broke during the 1999 Super Bowl. The spot will run during the season finale of NBC's ``Frasier.'' HotJobs.com also said new TV and radio spots are in production, as well as outdoor boards, which will appear in Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco, and other cities.
