Published on .

Hewlett-Packard Corp. named Modem Media, San Francisco, a True North Communications-backed Internet shop, to handle online strategy, creative and media planning worldwide for its business customer organization. Modem's win, after a four-month review, consolidates the organization's interactive work previously handled by several agencies. The account was estimated at $25 million (AA, Dec. 18). Finalists, led by Select Resources International, West Hollywood, included Omnicom Group's Agency.com and Organic, both San Francisco.
