Hyundai shakes up management team

Published on .

Hyundai Motor America March 4 said Douglas Mazza resigned as exec VP-chief operating officer to pursue other interests.

Hyundai also announced the appointment of Robert Parker as senior VP-sales and marketing, a new post. Mr. Parker, a Hyundai executive from 1990-96, left as VP-sales in 1996 to pursue academic studies.

Finally, Hyundai said VP-Sales John Dorsey is leaving to join an automotive retailing venture.

The changes follow the appointment early this year of a new president, M.H. (Mark) Juhn, at the U.S. arm of the South Korean automaker.
