The Los Angeles Times on Monday resumed publication of its Washington edition, which it dropped last summer in a cost-cutting move. "We received numerous requests to restart the Washington edition from senior government officials and others who depended on it for the Times' coverage of California, as well as for national and foreign news," said Publisher Robert T. Schlosberg III. About 3,000 copies of the 24-page version will be circulated in Washington, and 500 copies in New York City. Washington-based National Journal, also owned by Times Mirror, is coordinating advertising sales and marketing.
