Marie Claire is raising its rate base 5% to 525,000, effective with the January issue. The monthly, a joint venture between Hearst Magazines and the French-based Marie Claire Ltd., was exempt from the November rate base reductions that averaged 10% across the 13 wholly owned Hearst titles. The price of a one-time four-color ad will rise 14.4% to $33,190.
