Nation names Berkowitz

Jack Berkowitz, 49, Monday became president of The Nation as part of a revamping that will introduce four-color advertising to the 130-year-old weekly, effective with the Jan. 1 issue. Mr. Berkowitz, most recently director of custom publishing at Stern Publications, replaces Neil Black and reports to Victor Navasky, who remains editor-in-chief and publisher.
