Newsweek adds Spanish

Newsweek has signed a licensing agreement to produce a Spanish language version of the weekly news magazine that will be distributed in Latin America. The deal involves Miami-based Ideas & Capital Limited. Peter Luffman, president of Newsweek International, said that more than 77,000 pople buy the English-language edition in Latin America. Ad rates and circulation targets for the Spanish language edition have not yet been determined but advertising will be sold by both Newsweek and Ideas & Capital.
