React bundles with more papers

Published on .

Parade Publications' weekly coed teen title React, which launched Sept. 11 and is distributed through newspapers, signed five more carriers, bringing the number of publications bundling it to 100. The five new papers include The Press-Telegram in Long Beach, Calif.; The Record in Stockton, Calif.; The Pantagraph in Bloomington, Ill.; The Telegram and Gazette in Worcester, Mass; and The Kerville Daily Times in Texas.

Also announced today, Virtually React, an online brand of React, will have new Web rates in 1996. Online advertising on the publication was originally bundled in a print package, but Virtually React plans to offer Web-only advertising. Online rates have yet to be determined. (Full-page print rates in 1996 are $73,080 for four-color and $58,460 for black & white.)

Since launching, the service has logged a minimum of 60,000 home page visits and is working with advertisers such as L'Oreal, Imagination Network and Kaplan SAT. In 1996 the site will also add a searchable database for teens wishing to reach crisis centers, philanthropies or government officials to better their communities or help themselves.
