Bucking a trend in the Internet professional services industry to close offices, I-shop Sapient said it was opening an office in Toronto. The office is being headed by Linda Lizotte-MacPherson, who becomes president of Sapient's Canadian operations. Ms. Lizotte-MacPherson was formerly chief information officer for the Canada government. The company said it was working on projects for Manulife Financial and Union Gas Limited.
