TV Guide testing large-size edition

TV Guide last week began testing an 8-by-10-inch version of the traditionally 5-by-7-inch magazine on newsstands in Detroit and Baltimore, according to Electronic Media. Executives at News America Publishing Group, which owns TV Guide, said they hope the bigger publication will attract younger readers. Ad rates remain unchanged, said Joe Kiener, chief operating officer at News America Publishing. Cover price for the larger-size magazine is $1.99.
