IAA elects Cappo, Hangar

International Advertising Association, New York, elected Joe Cappo, senior VP-international, Crain Communications, Chicago, as its world president. He succeeds Senyon Kim, chairman-CEO, Sonyon Communications, Seoul. Elected to succeed Mr. Cappo as IAA senior VP was David Hangar, London-based advertising director of The Economist. Mr. Hangar is expected to succeed Mr. Cappo as IAA president in 2000. The elections took place at IAA's world congress in Cairo.
