IAB absorbs Internet Advertising Technology Council

The Internet Advertising Technology Council, a consortium of online advertisers, ad agencies and publishers created in April to address online advertising technical standards, has been folded into the Internet Advertising Bureau. Steve Goldberg, an IAB director and group manager of the advertising business unit for Microsoft Network, said the move, which had been expected since the IATC's inception, took place earlier this month. IATC now functions as a subcommittee of IAB's technology committee, which Mr. Goldberg chairs.
