IAB and Ad Council team for Online PSA initiative

The Internet Advertising Bureau and the Ad Council will launch the IAB/Ad Council Online PSA Initiative Nov. 12 in an effort to deliver public service announcement banner ads to the IAB's 200 member companies. As part of the campaign, the IAB will recommend that new-media companies donate 5% of their advertising inventory to Ad Council public service messages. NetGravity is donating and maintaining the ad server, which will generate 2 million impressions a day, or $15 million in donated media space a year.
