Ianni to head BBDO's @tmosphere shop

BBDO Worldwide New York's year-old digital branding agency @tmosphere appointed Drew Ianni as CEO, succeeding Susan Pinkwater, who's leave the shop to become a consultant. Mr. Ianni has had a long career in the Internet world, having previously been an equity research analyst for Lazard Freres covering information technology service providers, and before that, an analyst for Jupiter Communications. Prior to that, Mr.Ianni served as an account manager with CKS Group, Cupertino, Calif. In other management changes, Andreas Combuechen was promoted to managing director-chief creative officer, filling a position left vacant by Mike Campbell, who returned to BBDO New York as a creative director working under Michael Patti, senior exec VP-creative director. A founding member of @tmosphere, Mr. Combuechen joined as creative director from Frankfurt Balkind Partners, New York. In addition, Fran Powell was promoted to managing director-chief strategy officer from director of Internet strategy. Kathleen McSherry was promoted to managing director-chief operating officer from director of finance. @tmosphere recently won new business assignments from Unilever (Caress), Allied Domecq (Kahlua) and a major project from Cingular Wireless. The agency also won a d:Tech award for online effectiveness for its M&M's "Eye Candy Theater" initiative.
