IBM, IDG in major European deal

Published on .

IBM Corp. signed what's said to be Europe's biggest media and marketing deal in the information technology category, a $10 million-plus pact with publisher IDG, Boston. The package, arranged through Ogilvy & Mather's media operation, The Network, combines advertising space within IDG's 130 publications and 100 Web sites in the region with other services, such as telemarketing, research, competitive analysis and events. More than 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa are covered in the deal.
