IBM launches Internet search tool

IBM on Tuesday announced the commercial launch of infoMarket Search, a free tool that searches several databases at once, including Yahoo Corp., Open Text Corp., McKinley Group and the Usenet newsgroups. InfoMarket will be free through yearend; users will be charged a fee (to be determined) starting in 1996. The tool also will be marketed to Internet content providers to allow users to search their databases as well as others.
