IBM promotes e-commerce in Brazil

SAO PAULO--IBM Corp. is promoting the use of e-commercein a trade show sponsored by the computer giant.

The "E-Ritmo" (E-Rhythm) show, will include a special seminarcovering the different phases of e-commerce using real examplesof companies that have used the Internet to transform theirbusiness.

IBM will also use the event to launch new products such as thenew version of the DB2, a software for data management, and the`Secure Way,' a new series of software products for net security,as well as applications for the software and hardware Linux operational system.

The show was to take place in Sao Paulo on 25 June.
