IBM scrubs thank-you ad

IBM Corp., Armonk, N.Y., and Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, New York, scrubbed a proposed post-Olympics "thank you" ad (AA, Aug. 5). Agency insiders said it would be hard to do the ad without mentioning IBM's Olympics computer glitches, an issue the Summer Games' technology sponsor is loathe to bring up for fear of fanning more negative press coverage.
