IDC predicts Internet fallout in '96

The International Data Corp., a Framingham, Mass.-based technology consultant, predicts that activity on the Internet and World Wide Web will this year lurch from an "intoxication" to a "hangover" stage in 1996. IDC also predicts that many corporations that invested in online services now will suffer discouraging losses in 1996 and decide to pull out of the Internet. Nonetheless, IDC gave online services a bullish outlook.
