IDG to launch Net computer zine

Published on .

International Data Group is adding to its roster of Web-based zines with the launch of a network computer title. The magazine, NCWorld, appears Dec. 10 as a supplement to three other IDG zines and will become a standalone Web publication in February. It will target information technology professionals in the corporate market for the low-cost networked terminals being developed as an alternative to PCs. NCWorld will be available free; readers who register will be sent e-mails alerting them to updates.

IDG's Web Publishing unit started its first Web-only title, SunWorld, in July 1995. Two others, NetscapeWorld and JavaWorld, launched early this year.
