IDG names execs for new Internet weekly

IDG's Internet Industry Publishing Division today announces senior staff appointments for its weekly news magazine, The Internet Industry Standard, scheduled for an April launch and targeted at business, finance and technology managers.

The publication will be headed by president and publisher John Battelle, co-founding editor of Wired Magazine. Other top-level hires include editor-in-chief Jonathan Weber, former technology editor for the Los Angeles Times; associate publisher Jeffrey Miller, former director of sales for Softbank's Networld+Interop; VP-sales and marketing Cheryl Lucanegro, former VP and associate publisher Upside Magazine; and executive editor Debra Aho Williamson, former editor, interactive media and marketing, Advertising Age.
