IDG sets new strategies

IDG Corp. is expected Monday to announce new Internet strategies designed to more closely tie the editorial content of its magazines (such as The Web) with its interactive properties.

Among the expected announcements is an in-house redesign of The Web's site into three sections. "What's on Now," formed through a partnership with LiveWorld Productions, will offer a directory of live events (such as cybercasts and live chats); "What's New" will show new sites through a partnership with Submit It!; and "Where to Go" will offer Web links to sites profiled in current and past issues of The Web.
