iGuide, the MCI/News Corp. joint venture online service expected to launch in late February, hopes to sign at least five charter advertisers by March. As an incentive, it will offer the first month free. A six-person sales force from Hermosa Beach, Calif.-based Interactive Media Sales will begin selling advertising on the Web-based service next week. Ad rates will be set at 2 per impression, but advertisers can also hammer out deals based on monthly contracts or on the basis of cost per transaction.
