Conference and event producer Imark Communications on March 7 said it had acquired the @d:tech series of events from eMarketWorld Inc., Richmond, Va. Financial terms were not disclosed. @d:tech, launched in 1996, is a leading trade show series for Internet advertising, marketing and e-commerce. Joel Davis, former president of eMarketWorld's events division, has joined Imark as vice president-general manager of Imark's new offices in Fairfield, Conn. All other @d:tech staff will join Imark, a privately held company.

"We feel that being part of the Imark family, @d:tech will be even better positioned to expand its brand beyond what it has done. We see many synergies between us and their other events and products," Davis said.

Imark also produces Broadband Year, ProjectWorld, Softworld and the series of ITEC events.
