Independence Air names CEO

Independence Air, an Atlanta-based airline planning to start service during the second quarter of 1996, named Roy H. Hagerty president-CEO. He most recently was president of Airline Development Group, a consultancy, and previously headed the company operating Piedmont Commuter System and USAir Express. Independence Air plans low-cost service initially between Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles.
