Independent Square One Communications is in the process of spinning off its Boston office, according to insiders. An announcement is expected next week that President Fred Bertino, Creative Director Jamie Mambro and perhaps others will buy the 10-month old shop. Boston executives could not be reached for comment; those at the parent company said the idea was "speculation."It's not believed the seven-person shop will experience any layoffs. The agency, which has announced no clients, is believed to be spinning off so it can pursue national accounts that would conflict with its Dallas headquarters. Square One's roster includes Philip Morris Cos.' Miller Lite; restaurant P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Cadbury Schweppes' Dr Pepper/Seven Up and Verizon Communications. -- Hillary Chura
