Indian carmaker Maruti shifts media account

BOMBAY--Maruti has moved its TV buying business for all its carbrands to Madison Media from DY&R Redifusion, according to Sam Balsara, the head of Madison Media. In addition to the incumbent, Mediavision and Carat India also pitched. The estimated $9 million print buying businessremains with Lowe Lintas.

The Indian car giant's creative business still rests with Lowe Lintas and DY&R Rediffusion. Maruti officials were not available for comment.

Madison Media buys space on behalf of clients including the Coca-Cola Co., Godrej, BPL, Tata Tea, Procter & Gamble Co. and Perfetti.
