InfoBeat, a personalized news and entertainment e-mail service, acquired online direct marketing company AdTools. The multimillion-dollar acquisition also marks the unveiling of InfoBeat's new name, Indimi, an acronym for Internet Direct Marketing Intelligence. Under the new corporate brand, Indimi will expand its family of brands to include InfoBeat as well as AdTools' business-to-business offerings.
