Ingo Krauss leaves Y&R Germany

FRANKFURT -- In a mutually agreed decision, Ingo Krauss, chairman/CEO of Young & Rubicam Advertising Germany, is to hand over his responsibilities to Tiemen Bosma, formerly chairman of Y&R Group Netherlands.

Krauss, who joined Y&R Frankfurt in 1968, is leaving the German subsidiary, but is thought to be in negotiations with Y&R Europe about possibly working as a consultant. Krauss has held senior Y&R roles in Hong Kong and Australia, before returning to Germany in 1980.

Ed Vick, chairman/CEO of Y&R Advertising Worldwide, says: "Ingo Krauss has run our German operations impeccably for 17 years and has contributed greatly to the revitalization of the Y&R European region. He has built our largest and over that period most successful office in Europe. He was also the architect of Y&R Eastern Europe, opening almost all our offices in that region."

Krauss says: "Obviously one has to have mixed feelings when you leave the only company you have ever worked for, but I had the privilege to work for one of the best agencies in the world."

Bosma was head of Y&R's Netherlands Group for 13 years. In 1996 Bosma started in a senior European role, working directly with the chairman on acquisitions and management reorganizations.
