Changes inside Intel

Published on .

As part of a reorganization in which two senior VPs left the company, Intel Corp. said it merged its corporate marketing group, led by VP Dennis Carter, with the sales group, led by Exec VP Paul Otellini. Messrs. Carter and Otellini will be co-directors of corporate sales and marketing; the move increases already close ties between marketing and sales at the chip maker. In other changes, David House, senior VP-enterprise server group, resigned to be chairman of Bay Networks, while Intel said Carl Everett, senior VP-desktop products group, is leaving "to spend more quality time with his family."
