Inside line: CNI signs up Worldlink as its TV ad rep

Worldlink, Los Angeles, a direct-response TV rep company, was tapped by CNI to exclusively handle all ad sales transactions for its Christian Science Network and Pax Television Network. The networks provide late-night programming to 189 outlets, reaching more than 66 million households.

MC Direct, San Diego, will handle two direct response campaigns for financial services marketer Wells Fargo & Co. The direct efforts, set to begin next month, support Wells Fargo's home equity and personal lines, and loans programs.

Direct Marketing Association testified to government officials that sharing consumer information for marketing purposes is beneficial to consumers, marketers and the economy as long as privacy is protected. The testimony was part of the Federal Trade Commission's Information Marketplace Work-shop last week in Washington.

Responsys.com, Palo Alto, Calif., an online direct marketing company, is partnering with Escalate, a provider of e-commerce applications enabling companies to sell directly to consumers. Escalate will use Responsys Interact to enhance its own direct marketing products by offering clients the ability to use permission-based e-mail marketing.
