Sprint Corp. heightened its sponsorship of Nascar racing and the Petty family last week. Its Spree Prepaid Foncard brand will be the primary sponsor of Adam Petty, 17, the youngest driver in the American Speed Association, adding to its ongoing associate sponsorships of Nascar driver Kyle Petty and Richard Petty's No. 43 car, driven by John Andretti. This year Spree will back a number of Nascar-themed promotions, including collectible Petty family phone cards.

Stroh Brewery Co.'s Colt 45 and Schlitz Malt Liquor brands salute Black History Month with an offer for a free commemorative poster paying tribute to great African-American sports legends. The limited-edition poster is available this month at the point of purchase in selected markets; O'Neal, Mason & McClure, Southfield, Mich., handles.

Callaway Golf Co. recently inked a two-year deal to become the exclusive sponsor of Nike Junior Golf Camps and Nike Adult Golf Schools. Callaway Golf will supply the schools with golf clubs and accessories in exchange for on-site marketing presence and the opportunity to assist in creating a Nike Golf School at the Callaway Golf Center in Las Vegas.
