OgilvyOne's Lee to receive Caples honor

Bruce Lee, senior partner-North American creative director at OgilvyOne Worldwide, New York, will receive the annual Irving Wunderman Award Feb. 22 at the John Caples International Awards, which honor creativity in direct marketing. The Wunderman award is given to an individual whose impressive body of creative work spans a decade or more. The other top Caples prize, the Emerson Award, will be presented to Jim Kobs, president-CEO of Kobs Gregory Passavant, Chicago, for outstanding service to the creative community in direct marketing.

Cox Target Media, Largo, Fla., relaunched Valpak.com, the online version of its popular cooperative mailer Val-Pak, in an effort to make it easier and faster for consumers to retrieve coupons on the Web. The site was launched in 1998 and offers local merchants' coupons online that can be redeemed at bricks-and-mortar locations. It has been redesigned based on focus groups and online surveys that found consumers wanted a more intuitive, user-friendly site. Valpak.com partners with other sites such as iVillage.com, NBCi, USAToday.com and Yahoo! to achieve broader coupon distribution and greater visibility through Web site links.
