Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising has teamed with Church's Fried Chicken for an integrated promotion starring "The Simpsons." Included are a "Simpsons" beverage jug and kids meal premiums, and a watch-and-win merchandise giveaway. In-store, direct mail and national spot TV commercials were created by Levenson & Hill, Dallas. The program runs through July.
Sprint Corp. was flying high in New York with "Sprint Sense Dimes 'n' Destinations," offering 100 consumers the opportunity to fly May 3 from New York to Las Vegas for the price of a dime per minute, or $33. The catch: Customers had to pay for the tickets in dimes. America West Airlines was Sprint's partner in the promotion, supported by print and radio ads via J. Walter Thompson USA, San Francisco.
