(June 8, 2001) -- Capitol Records launched GooglyMinotaur, a publicly available interactive agent that is providing exclusive information on the band Radiohead through instant messaging.

The tool delivers information, services and entertainment to users' instant messaging windows. The custom Radiohead agent, an automated "bot," lives on users' buddy contact lists and responds to natural language requests.

GooglyMinotaur, a character in the band's artwork for the album Amnesiac, supports an existing online marketing campaign. It will provide information on the band, its music, contests, auctions, downloads, games, tour dates and access to entertainment news, movie showtimes and horoscopes.

In additon, MTV.com will provide exclusive content, including live performances and Radiohead interviews. MTV.com visitors will be able to link to the GooglyMinotaur instant messaging window from the site. -- Adrienne Mand
