InsWeb announces extensive advertising expansion

Online insurance site InsWeb will spend at least $75 million in advertising over the next two years. The company planned to launch its expanded branding initiative with prime-time network TV ads on "NFL Monday Night Football" Sept. 20. Ads, developed by Bozell, Costa Mesa, Calif. (now FCB Worldwide), are scheduled to run on other programs including "ER," "Dateline" and "20/20." Additional advertising initiatives include ads in national magazines, permission-based marketing campaigns and promotions and sweepstakes.
