An international online service offering thousands of TV and radio commercials for agencies to download to a desktop PC launches in London this week. ADChannel, which will allow agencies access to copies of their own work, and to rivals' work for research purposes, has been produced by Creative Services Network, a company set up by London-based new media specialist AMX Digital and venture capitalists.

The service is backed by British Telecom, which will facilitate ADChannel's delivery via its City Media platform, which can also operate outside the U.K. The first agency on board is Lowe Howard-Spink London. A subscription costs $22,800 for one year. An agency's own work is free to download; a rival's costs $16 per ad.

CSN is also working with agencies in Duesseldorf and "talking with people" in New York, though Paris is its next target. "We have an aggressive international expansion strategy," says Fairfull.
