Intel Corp. confirmed it will make its Super Bowl TV debut this month to advertise the new Pentium MMX chip. The campaign was reported earlier in Advertising Age (Jan. 6). "See it! Hear It! Experience It!" is the theme of the MMX marketing campaign. Euro RSCG Dahlin Smith White, Salt Lake City, is the agency. Intel this week introduced the chip, which increases the multimedia capabilities of PCs. MMX-based PCs went on sale today. 8 from numerous PC makers, including IBM, Compaq, Packard Bell and Gateway 2000, in the most coordinated launch in Intel's history. Apple Computer is handing out buttons at this week's Macworld trade show in San Francisco saying MMX stands for "Mean$ More Expen$e."
