InterAct touts e-mail device

Videogame accessories marketer InterAct, Hunt Valley, Md., on June 1 breaks a print and online campaign backing SharkMX, which slips into the back of Nintendo of America's Gameboy, transforming it into an e-mail device. The $3 million campaign kicks off with a spread in USA Today. U.S. women's soccer stars Brandi Chastain and Julie Foudy are take center stage in the campaign from Seiniger Group, Los Angeles. Creative shows the two athletes fancifully sporting Gameboys with the headline "Play with us." Copy touts the $39.99 device's ability to keep the women connected to their friends, family and fans. InterAct made the announcement at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.
