US Interactive, Digital Evolution merge

Internet services companies US Interactive and Digital Evolution announced plans to merge, resulting in a combined company called US Interactive. It will be based in Los Angeles and have more than 200 employees. It also will have offices in New York, Washington, Philadelphia and Seattle. Eric Pulier, founder of Digital Evolution, will become executive chairman and remain in Los Angeles. Larry Smith will continue as CEO and be based in New York. Rich Masterson, co-founder of US Interactive, will become president and chief operating officer, and be based in New York.

The combined company will have projected revenue of $20 million this year.

It has signed a new client, Hong-Kong based Dairy Farm, a supermarket holding company, and will create a Pan-Asian electronic commerce brand for the client including a redesigned Web site, intranet and extranet.
