Interactive Imaginations signs deal with list management company

Published on .

Interactive Imaginations, which publishes game site Riddler and manages a content network for advertisers called the Commonwealth Network, this week signed American List Council to manage its user databases for direct marketing purposes. Interactive Imaginations has two databases -- one for Riddler's 536,000 registrants and a business database of 9,200 sites.

Interactive Imaginations joins a growing list of established media companies that have begun signing with list rental and management firms for direct marketing purposes, much as print and catalog media companies have always done. Hearst New Media's HomeArts, Prodigy, Scholastic and GeoCities have also signed with list houses in recent months to sell -- with subscriber approval -- the names and addresses of their customer-base.
