Poppe Tyson Interactive East announced Thursday that Barbara Thompson, former media supervisor at Foote, Cone & Belding, Los Angeles. would be the company's new media director. Poppe also promoted Peter Johnson to director of business development. Previously, Mr. Johnson was in account management.

DoubleClick announced two appointments: Janice L. Carter was named business development director of its Los Angeles office. Previously, Ms. Carter was business development director at Software Entrepreneurs Forum of Silicon Valley. Jeffrey D. Kiker was named business development associate at the company's New York headquarters; he will build and manage the Health, Sports/Leisure and News affinity groups. Most recently, Mr. Kiker was account supervisor/interactive products planner at Dentsu USA's Renegade Marketing Group.
