This microsite from Budweiser playfully carried a strong brand message from its award-winning "Whassup?!" TV spots into a new medium. With a promotional tie-in from TV, the "Whassup?!" translator site gave users the chance to learn how to give a proper greeting to friends the world over by taking any of 36 "language courses." The ad site also gave visitors the chance to e-mail the sound files to others, thus helping self-promote the promotion. With this carry-over, DDB Worldwide and Tribal DDB showed how to translate an advertising theme seamlessly, while taking advantage of each medium.
