Hambrecht & Quist estimates that Internet advertising will reach $300 million in 1996 and $3.8 billion by 2000 as more consumer companies try to reach its rapidly growing audience. Hambrecht & Quist, an investment bank focused on emerging growth companies, plans an Internet conference in San Francisco later this month.
