ACTV is the first Asian broadcaster to use Advent, which enables media buyers to buy and place TV ads using the Internet. The system has lower prices than traditional sales models, according to Advent Television Managing Director Jeff Chatfield in Singapore. Avation automates the production, management and sale of TV ads using either the Internet or an automated call center.
ACTV Chairman Marcus Dukes says: "Avation gives our small Japanese operation an opportunity to create extra TV advertising revenue from a whole new type of advertising buyer."
